Join our Team as Electro and automation Engineer.The successful candidate must be able to work from our office located in Sandnes and therefore should reside in the surrounding area.
COSL Drilling Europe, a safe and efficient drilling contractor dedicated to delivering on the energy transition with its cutting-edge, low-emission drilling rigs, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated electro and automation engineer to join our team. By 2025, our ambition is to provide climate-neutral drilling services and set a new market standard.
Our rig portfolio has a proven track record of having the most efficient and best performing rigs in the North Sea, with Energy Control Systems already delivering substantial CO2 and NOx reductions. The rigs are compact, with low PoB and operated by a highly competent and experienced team. We are certified with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard and the ISO 50001 Energy Management System standard and continuously invest in technology and competence that reduce emissions and bring long-term value creations for our customers and society.
We're currently looking for an individual with Technical college level or a relevant university degree in Electronics and/or Automation, or relevant operational experience from similar positions from a drilling contractor preferably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall technical responsible for Automation and OT Systems in CDE
- Overall responsible for technical safety within discipline
- Responsible for maintenance and verification activities related to Performance standards within area of responsibility.
- Provide discipline support to management concerning automation and OT systems.
- To provide technical and operational support within automation and OT systems.
- Company's authority for technical requirements and integrity of automation and OT
- Liaise with Clients, Authorities and Regulatory Bodies within area of responsibility, and to keep up to date with applicable legislation.
- Provide compliance guidance, and to assist, advice and plan for regulatory inspections, projects, upgrades and surveys.
- Responsible for developing operational and equipment standards and to evaluate new technology and improvements within area of responsibility.
- Perform offshore visits.
- Assist the Projects and Procurement Department in specifying technical requirements relating to equipment purchase or repairs to equipment within area of responsibility.
- Discipline responsible for improvement activities within area of responsibility
- Technical College or University degree within Electronics and/or Automation
- 5+ years experience
- Strong competence on technical safety
- Preferable experience with Drilling systems (NOV) and DP & safety systems (Kongsberg)
- Proficient in both English and Norwegian language (spoken & written).
